What is video card?Software or Hardware? If software then how can I download it?

hardware.|||Video Card is a hardware and not software, but it needs a software to run.|||A video card is a piece of hardware. The operating system of your computer needs software to be able to use it. This software is called a video driver.



You can use the video driver that comes with your operating system or download one from the manufacturer of your video card.|||A video card is hardware. It should already be inside your computer. Video cards need software called drivers to allow the computer to talk to the video card. That is something that comes in the box with the video card, or you can download it from the manufacturer.|||its hardware, you have to go to a store and buy it, no way in the world you could download it. Try a computer store and please never buy any computer product from walmart! they never work lol|||Think about it. What does "card" imply? The software is called a "driver".|||Seems like you are 'amature' in computer.

A video card is a hardware that in your motherboard, which is used to display a video graphic on your monitor/screen.

This video device need a driver(software) to operate properly, normally the software will come together during purchasing your PC.

Actually, basiclly got two type of video card, one is built in in your motherboard(intergrated) and another one is a separated card which installed in your PCI/AGP slot.

Normally PCI/AGP video card got greater performance than intergrated one.
